The mantra has become "The Future is Female" with good reason - our collective history is full of amazing women who's contributions and stories have been overlooked and outright written out by men. Skateboarding is no exception. For decades, there dominant perception of skating has been as a niche exclusively for white dudes. However, skaters of color and female skaters have been making large strides. This Friday, October 19th, we're opening up the 99 Water St shop to female skaters to hang out, mix it up, and swap tips and tricks.
